Grace Jones character 'Mayday' in James Bond film A Veiw To Kill, released in 1985, was a useful fashion costume film to analyse. Mayday is an assasin who's image is very hard egded consisting of power dressing; big shoulder small waist jackets (shape of a men's suit), strong/feirce make-up (bringing back her femininty), androgonous image, and also the use og black leather and gun handling gives the viewer the impression she is a forceful woman not to be reckoned with.
